Day 2: Activities
Day 2: Activities By: Jasmine Santoyo Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Today is my second day in the daycare working with the children. I love that they are no longer shy and that I have already got passed to where they feel comfortable with me. As soon as I walked in they started interacting with me and showing me their new toy that they received. They have a new play pen filled with colorful balls, which helped me practice their colors. For example, I would simply pick up a blue ball, have them repeat the color after me, then ask them if they can find a ball that matches the one I have saying, "Can you find another blue ball?". I work with three children that are almost 2 years old and one out of the two isn't too verbal so if she didn't repeat after me she at least was able to match the ball that I was holding recognizing the matching color. I would also point to other objects with the same color for example if they were wearing a piece of clothing with that specific...
